Manny needed for a family in West Hollywood. 25-30 hours per week, in the afternoon. Their 5,000 sq ft estate is off the Sunset Strip and the mom is seeking a mentor and positive role model for her 2 boys, soon to be 12 and 16.
She is primarily looking for someone that can instill good habits and behaviors into her children, encourage healthy eating habits and show them how to look after themselves; make things like eating your greens and caring for your possessions ‘cool’. You will be their role model so healthy eating, physically active, well balanced lifestyles that you can impress upon the boys is paramount.
They need someone flexible but are typically looking for someone Monday – Friday 4pm until 10pm latest. They are looking to pay $24-27 per hour with room to increase to $30 after a successful trial period. They also offer vacation and sick benefits. A passport is required incase you decide to join them on vacations out of the Country. A clean driving record would be needed, along with a reliable vehicle to help shuttle boys to various activities; a degree is desired but not compulsory. The kids have tutors so you would be there to facilitate and move things along nicely.
Encouraging the kids to balance their time and think proactively is key, juggle video games with basketball with swimming with homework with eating right and generally getting them to start thinking a few moves ahead rather than 5 hours of TV and video games after school.
If you’re mild-mannered, energetic, youthful, sporty and smart, with experience working with children this age in either a domestic or school setting, then you should definitely consider this.
